Making your recipe cards

Before starting to type up the recipe for your Chinese dish, please take a look at these websites to research correct methods for making food.

www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes

www.allrecipes.co.uk

When typing up your recipe card, make sure you include the following:

- Ingredients and quantities
- Equipment
- Method
- Cooking Time
- Final picture of what your dish should look like

Ensure your method is in the correct order!

You need to ask yourself, 'Would someone else be able to cook my dish by using my recipe card?'

Chopsticks!

Welcome to our new theme: Chopsticks!

We will be learning about the geography of China and why China is such an important country in the world.

We will explore Chinese tales and poetry about dragons in English before moving on to find out about a controversial dam that has been built in China and using this to write balanced arguments.  We will also find out about the earthquake that hit China last year by reading and writing newspaper reports.

Most exciting of all, will be our Art and DT projects that will include claywork (inspired by the Terracotta Army) and some Chinese cooking.

We hope we've got your tastebuds watering!
